HEROES RETURN WITH HOPE IN HAND
Three missing villagers rescued by brave citizens - Council commends quiet heroism
In the early hours before the Dawn Bell, a group of independent volunteers - whose names are respectfully withheld for their privacy - returned to Draymoor bearing hope: three of our missing citizens - all of whom have since been reunited with their families and are under clerical care.
The recovery took place deep within the eastern marshes, where the mist remains thick and treacherous. According to sources within the Lantern-Keepers, these brave souls navigated the dangers beyond our wards at great personal risk, bringing back Elric Tannor, Lina Ward and Harlan Vost. Tragically, Jonas Feld was found deceased and given over to the city's care with dignity. One citizen, Mira Dailen, remains unaccounted for - believed lost to the mist.
Council officials commended the bravery of the rescuers, stating:
"This act of valor demonstrates the strength of Draymoor’s people in the face of darkness. We will not be cowed by shadow or sorcery."
High Priest Eldrin Vayne emphasised the importance of continued faith and calm, urging all citizens to attend evening prayeres this week, where protective wards will be renewed. He has also confirmed that warding systems remain intact and regular blessings will continue as scheduled.
The Council assures the public that investigations are underway regarding potential external threats, and urges calm and unity in the days ahead. Citizens are reminded that official updates will be shared via this record and posted to the city's public boards, and distributed via all official channels.
CITIZENS ARE REMINDED:
Together, in light and discipline, we endure.
