A former soldier tired of the Kobold/Dwarven war. Found a far western port forest frontier where he could run a forge in piece. However, war found Haral. Will he be able to handle fighting battles again?
Growing up, our family was large and packed into a small building. We didn't have much, but we did have a great time. We all worked, squabbled and pitched in so that our family could make the best of our situation. Never knew my parents. The mine cave-in killed them both before while me and my younger siblings were still bawling babes. Being the true middle child, I did what I could to get what I could and keep it away from the others. Our world would soon turn to rubble. A war broke out between our clan and some kobolds who moved into our clan's territory. Families like mine had most of us forced into service. This was all we knew. Some of us did well in service, and a few not so much.
After I finished my service, I left the area. Our family broke apart, on good terms mostly, but I couldn't look at the area the same after the war. I just wanted to create something to fill the world with good instead of destroying things. In my journey to a new area, I ended up on a spirtial path. I ran into a massive grizzly deep in the woods. I had fallen asleep near a raspberry bush and awoke to the face of a bear tower over me. In this moment, something awoke inside me, I did not lash out, but seem to connect with the creature. I could detach myself from my surroundings and harness another part of myself. This gave me hope for moving forward.
After many years of travel I settled in the town of Montsilt. I worked hard at building a successful blacksmith shop and became quite successful. I even picked up an apprentice. I saved his life while out in the woods gathering materials for one of my commissions. Ever since, he has worked hard at learning the trade and growing to journey man status. He's almost there. Perrin is a great boy, who's growing into a fine man. Has a level head on his shoulders and is definitely growning large with his work. My time working and gathering materials I met and befriended some great people. There is a boatswain out of Etonia, Tyr'On Asarlai, who's crew have done some great work for me and is an even better drinking companion. Antum, a local wizard, has needed my services a few times for some great furniture in his tower. He's a great guy and helps this community. Something I've grown to enjoy doing myself. Providing a service in an area that is really neglected by the outside world. Sylva, I met in the woods. This half-elf has some great hunting skills. Helped me a lot and is good for a drink every few months when back from missions. We would swap stories while drinking in the local tavern. I think my bear story wins, but she'll tell you different. Haven't heard from her in a while. I need to check in on her, maybe stop by the Adventurer's Guild in Trier to see if she's still out on mission.
Town started having some troubles with a large wolf recently. Then noticed Antum was not coming around as much asking for work. Things started to get tense and then the town started a large uproar near the mayor's house about children going missing. I ran over to see if I can help only to have Trolls fall down on the crowd. I see a red faced devil in finery hurling flames left and right. I start by working to get all the towns folk safe from the fight. The red devil and Darryl face off one, the mayor's guard have another, Yelsin, Mons, and Rolph form a line on the third. After everyone's in and safe, I spend time getting them ready for a backdoor run if things turn. I hear some loud shouts and look to see Darryl and the red devil, who a village claims is the great Ahli, take one down. Then more shouts as the guards fell the other troll near the building. The mayor runs inside and tells his guards to get rid of the trolls. Runs INSIDE! The third troll seems to rage at this turn of events and barrels through Yelsin, Mons, and Rolph. Treating them as no more than little toys it played with, but was now furious at for not playing the way it wanted them to play. He moves forward, but the visibly battered Ahli storms forward, hurling rays of fire left and right. The beast seemed to be otherworldly with how deftly it dodged the flaming spears hurled its way. I start to run out as Darryl comes down the alley and knocks me down. He comes running up with a flaming log and swinging it at the troll from behind. This enrages the troll even more as it claws into Ahli, ripping him apart at the shoulder. It turns around to Darryl and shreds his face down to his belly. Both the heroes fall as I get up to charge over. The other guards unleashed a massive volley of crossbow bolts at the beast as I charge. It falls, but it was all too late. My charge was not fast enough to save the two greatest heroes Montsilt has ever seen.
Before leaving, I spent the night designing and sketching up a memorial to dedicate to Darryl and Ahli Sahir (once I recognized him I knew he was the hero the town was always talking about.) I made sure to clean him up the best I could and have him and Darryl buried in a special spot for the town. I have started Perrin on constructing the memorial mound that we'll have built for these two once I return from my endeavors.

Tyr'On Asarlai, Neutral Good Human Barbarian Sailor. Last worked with him out of Etonia. Your relationship is friendly and he is alive and well. He is quite successful at doing what he does and we've worked well together. Fighting, adventuring, and drinking, all great times.
Antum Priorix of Udius Neutral Human Wizard, Nobel about mid 40s. I have done several pieces of work for him in his tower. Doors, furniture, silverware, and a few pots and kettles. We usually get together for a drink at the tavern every month or so and discuss the simple events of Montsilt. Have not seen him recently and starting to worry a bit.
Sylvas Neutral Half-Elf Ranger, Nobel about mid 20s. I was saved from a bad encounter in the woods by this lovely ranger. We struck a bond and meet for drinks whenever she is in town or finished with a mission. It has been a while since our last get together. Have to check in with the Adventurer's Guild in Trier to see how she is doing. Ardelis informed me of her demise at the hands of an undead tree.
