Blair
It had finally arrived. Her wedding day. It had been weeks since their arrival to Bastion. Weeks of guests arriving from all over the Commonwealth. System-lords and Highlords. Two Tutha kings from Walhaz, and three kings from the United Worlds of Kaledon had arrived for the wedding.
Nobility from the Dragon’s Head Nebula was not the only nobility attending her wedding. Lords from the Lordship of Oritz, and her own home nation of the Kingdom of the Salions. There were lords from the Holy Fabian Protectorate and even a minor lord from Talus.
Most if not all she had never met. Maybe she had stood in a room with some but little more then that. There were some that had sought her own hand in marriage themselves. Most were powerful important lords in their own right.
The weeks had gone by in a blur it seemed now. There was so much new to explore and learn. King Oswald had proved to be a generous host throughout it all. Blair had spent several days with the king alone and with his family. The king had proved to be a pleasant man, and Blair could not find fault that she could not live with.
Blair yawned. She and her handmaidens had been up early to get ready for the wedding.
The crowds for the wedding was even more massive then that when Blair first arrived on Bastion. It had seemed like no expense had been spared, and she could not believe the luxury of her wedding.
Her brother, bless his heart, had asked her one finally time if she was sure she wanted to go through with it. She had thrown her arms around him and reassured her brother that she would not change her mind for anything.
Blair rode in a animal drawn cart to great Fabian chapel of the Bastion where the wedding would take place. Exotic domesticated animals from another world. The cart was hand made and beautiful. Blair was in awesome of the beauty of it. It reminded her of a peaceful forest. The more she had looked the more she had seen. A deer behind the trunk of a tree as a branch lush with leaves reached to the front where birds of many kid stood tall.
The green shades of the royal house of the Commonwealth stood out painted on the carriage. All eyes were to the middle of the carriage though where Blair was displayed to the people of Bastion. Blair felt more beloved from the crowd then her arrival. She had her press team had worked hard to build an image for Blair on Bastion, and to connect with the people of Bastion.
Everyone including her brother rode behind her. The streets were lined with waving citizens in their best clothes as she was pulled on the carriage through the tall lumbering towers. People waved flags and shouted from open windows and hung of decks. Other then a few security members, there was no one between her and the chapel which would make her queen.
From time to time Blair caught sight of one of the many drones filming the events. Or she spotted herself on one of the large screens.
